Where to begin with these two lovely people and this gorgeous location? Vail is one of my favorite places in Colorado, not only in the winter but also in the summer! As a wedding photographer in Vail, it’s a true honor to combine the beauty of a couple in love with the gorgeousness that is the Colorado mountains.
Meredith and Lance flew in to celebrate their nuptials and they couldn’t have picked a better spot. They held their ceremony at the gorgeous Vail Interfaith Chapel right in the heart of Vail Village. While Meredith prepared for their ceremony at The Lodge at Vail, Lance and his brother relaxed and got ready at the Ritz-Carlton Club in West Vail, about a five minute drive away. I had the privilege of photographing Lance’s details, which included a beautiful Rolex watch as well as an incredibly meaningful anchor necklace that Lance wears in honor of his late father. The perfect accessory for such an important day.
After learning how to tie ties (all thanks to YouTube!) we made our way over to the chapel. The chapel was the perfect backdrop for some groom portraits before saying “I Do” and his best man and brother was incredibly helpful, standing behind me, making this Vail, Colorado groom chuckle for all his portraits.
Meredith arrived with her sister, looking gorgeous in a minimal yet modern A-Line gown and made her way down the aisle. The ceremony was full of joy and was a perfect reflection of everything I had learned about their relationship. After walking down the aisle as Mr and Mrs Dufrene, the beautiful “princess” got a running-head-start from the cutest little flower girl. I’m so glad I swung around at just that moment to capture it!
The Vail Nordic Center was a breathtaking (quite literally…there’s a bit of a hike!) backdrop for some more couple portraits after the wedding, after which we made our way to the delicious and beautifully appointed Cucina for dinner and celebration!
Meredith and Lance shared an emotional and beautiful first dance and were showered with incredibly kind words from their VIPs during toasts. I noticed a little gap in the crowd, and snuck over to snap a frame from right behind Meredith’s mom and her best friend during the first dance, which is one of my favorite of the day.
For anyone in search of a Vail, Colorado wedding venue or Vail Interfaith Chapel wedding information, I could not recommend this combination enough! The day went smoothly, the ceremony was heartfelt and food, delicious. Pair that with a happy couple and it doesn’t get much better.
I’m so happy I got a to accompany Kelly of Kelly Erin Photography to second shoot this beautiful wedding and celebrate the new Mr and Mrs Dufrene. Be sure to check out her beautiful work if you’re looking for a Colorado wedding photographer!
