Kayla and Andrew battled some crazy wind and rain during their engagement session, but I’m so glad we got to spend time together at South Valley Park in Littleton. The park is home to beautiful red rocks, a pond and much more!
Andrew is a traveling doctor which takes him and Kayla all over the country! They’ve been in Colorado since May and are here until next month, so we wanted to capture their portraits in a true Colorado setting. Their dog Jensen also came along and I enjoyed capturing their love as as family.
I think Kayla and Andrew brought one of the most unique props to their engagement session. A wedding quilt passed down through Kayla’s family! I see lots of amazing props as a Littleton engagement photographer, but I loved the tradition and I’m so glad they brought it with for photos. Halfway through their session, the rain really started to come down. At that time, we made a beeline for the covered picnic area. In my head I was thinking we’d just sit it out for a few minutes, but we found a fantastic little area and I think I’ll be taking all my clients up there from now on. Good find!
They’ll be getting married at Andrew’s family farm in Kentucky and I can’t wait to see the pictures! Kayla and Andrew, I love that we were able to connect in the few months that you called Colorado home. I hope you enjoyed the state as much as we do. Cheers to many wonderful adventures ahead! I’m excited for you both.
