It was approaching 100 degrees in Westminster when Ashley and Tim said “I do” at the Westminster Promenade Terrace, but these two were the most calm, cool and collected couple throughout their entire wedding day! It probably helped that they surrounded themselves with such loving, supportive and kind family and friends. With thirteen people on each side in their wedding party, it was truly a celebration of their love all day.
The day began at one of Ashley’s bridesmaid’s homes, where the ladies did their hair, made bouquets and helped each other with makeup and final details. The excitement was palpable! After getting dressed, we made our way to a local park for bridesmaid portraits. Luckily we found some shade! Next up, we went to the ceremony site, where we found thirteen groomsmen and one excited groom ready for the day. One of the biggest timeline issues I see as a wedding photographer in Westminster and beyond is when one partner isn’t ready on time. Props to these guys!
After an emotional ceremony led by both Ashley and Tim’s fathers, we stopped at the stunning Davidson Mesa Trailhead. This spot provided a beautiful backdrop for their first photos as Mr & Mrs. We took photos just a few steps away from the parking lot, making it accessible for everyone if you’re looking to take photos here. Finally, a few moments down the road, the D-Barn Reception Hall played host to Ashley and Tim’s lively reception.
One of my favorite photos of the day is from their reception announcement. Their nephew jumped up in excitement in front of my camera and his joy literally radiates into the shot! I also loved Ashley’s special moments with her two younger siblings with autism. Everyone made sure they were incorporated throughout the day in a comfortable and loving way. Ashley even got her brother up for a dance! Scroll to the very bottom for that adorable shot.
Ashley and Tim, thank you for letting me help capture your wedding. I wish you both nothing but the best. Cheers!
