You’d never know by these photos that Abby had just wrapped up an incredibly long shift as a surgical resident. She came to her session in a fantastic mood, so excited to take photos. Huge props to her! I’m sure I’d be asleep on the couch after the typical day she goes through at work.

As a branding photographer in Denver, I see a lot of different people in front of my camera but it’s a special honor to be able to support other women as they pursue their career. These past couple of years have been tough (to say the least) for everyone, but nobody more so than medical professionals, so I was doubly humbled that Abby let me into her busy schedule. We had a blast taking some new headshots! I loved that we got to utilize her white coat for some portraits. I was surprised to learn that as a surgical resident, she rarely wears her actual white coat, so headshots were a fun excuse to dress up and put on her white coat!

We chose to utilize the lovely indoor space at Denver Photo Collective, a natural light studio in Lakewood, Colorado. I certainly love shooting outdoors, but having a private, natural indoor space is great for professional headshots. This studio offers a changing room, small kitchen, multiple background setups, lots of different furniture and much more. It was perfect to get a wide variety of shots for Abby!

Abby, huge congratulations on all that you’ve accomplished so far in your career. I’m so glad that I got to be a small part of your career journey. I look forward to watching you continue to change lives for the better as you continue in the medical world.
