One of the best things about being a newborn photographer in Denver is that I get to watch the families that I work with grow! This is a great example – you may remember this lovely family from their beautiful combination maternity/family session at Mount Falcon Park. Check out their images here!
I was so excited when I found out that little Gavin had arrived. We scheduled a time for him to make his photo debut and my goodness – he’s a natural. Until he went down in his crib, he was watching all of us throughout the session. He especially loved watching my camera and making goofy faces at his big sister!
The Tomkin family chose to do an in-home newborn session which was perfect for their family. As a newborn photographer in Denver, I am lucky to have access to some lovely studios and outdoor spaces for newborn sessions, but I often find that families feel most comfortable at home with a newborn and a toddler. During their session, we took breaks to play outside, water the plants and even read a book! Make sure to scroll down to see all the behind the scenes.
We started in their front room which had a perfect window for natural light as well as a couch so everyone could snuggle up. Afterwards, we ventured into their beautiful sunroom and finally out into the yard. Another pro of doing an at-home session – you know where everyone is most comfortable!
Tomkin family, thank you for choosing me to document this exciting moment for you! I look forward to capturing memories for years to come.
