Much like every Denver wedding and engagement photographer, I love my clients! I enjoy getting to know them during planning sessions and capture them during their engagement session and wedding. But Julia and Joe were a special case – I got to work with them for two separate engagement sessions, which was so much fun.
Their first session, in August, took place near Joe’s parent’s home in the Centennial area. Although it was incredibly warm, these two looked cool in front of the camera! Julia wore a lovely patterned dress and Joe complimented her in sharp slacks and a classic white shirt. After a bit of shade, the sun peeked out just in time for some fantastic golden hour photos!
A few weeks later, we met at Millennium Bridge downtown Denver and ventured out there, visiting Commons Park as well as Union Station! They chose more casual outfits this time, which totally suited the scene. It was a little cooler this time around, but there were so many people – props to Julia & Joe for dealing with this nitpicky photographer and waiting patiently until the background cleared so we could get that “perfect” shot!
Are you planning your engagement session and can’t pick a place? Shoot me a message and we can pick two places to capture a wide variety of scenes! Check out Cara & Mark’s session at South Valley Park – red rocks galore. Pair that with a session at Cheesman Park like Gary & Megan and you’d have two gorgeous Colorado locations for your engagement photos! Two sessions also means two different outfits, two different hairstyles, makeup looks…you name it. If you’re really torn, I highly suggest two sessions in totally different locations.
Julia and Joe, thank you for joining me twice and being such a lovely couple to work with. Congrats on your upcoming wedding and I wish you many happy years!
